Chic This Week 057

What's CHIC this week (vol. 057)

My new floral arrangement hack. Thanks to this tip I got from Emily Schuman, I now know how florists get their roses looking so full and lush! Check out how to "reflex" roses here.

Pattern play. When it comes to prints this summer, stripes and animal prints are looking to make a huge splash.

SUNSCREEN. Tis the season - or, if you're me, it's always the season (yes, I wear sunscreen year-round!). If you're looking for a good face sunscreen, I highly recommend Supergoop's Serum. Full disclosure: the first time I tried the product it was a gift from the brand. I ended up loving it so much that I've repurchased it on my own and it's what I wear every. single. day.

My best buy of this spring has been my nude pointed-toe mules. They work with EVERYTHING and have become my go-to shoe (which is why you've probably seen me wear them a million times - like here and here). My exact pair are no longer available, but these are super similar.

It's almost time for the beach, and I'm really loving swimsuits with ruffle details like this one and this one.

Down to the wire: how pretty are these wire nail designs? I've also seen some line-drawing nail designs with a similar vibe.

The top to throw on with everything this spring/summer: a classic white tie-front button up that everyone needs.

Translucent shoes aren't going anywhere: clear-paneled, modern sandals are starting to pop up for the season (including the pair pictured, from Valentino).

Get a little more playful with your sunglasses: switch up your standard aviators for a pair of heart-shaped sunnies, slim rose-tinted shades, or a large round pair.

If I could buy one of everything from Spell & The Gypsy, I would. Their chic, colorful, patterned pieces and very much my style (and so perfect for this summer!).

Silver soles: elevate a basic jeans-and-tee or monochromatic look this season by adding a metallic shoe.

I've been seeing some bold color-blocking (like the wrap top pictured) and think it's a great alternative to patterns when you want to add some dimension to a look.

Treat yourself: I'm a sucker for cute PJs, and I've been so in love with this cami-and-shorts set ever since I made the purchase.

Basket-style bags grew in popularity last Spring/Summer and they're here to stay this season. I really like this bucket bag, which is a great under-$70 option.

Swim season is almost here! I'm on the hunt for new swimwear and I have some serious heart-eyes for this set by cute Aussie brand Skye & Staghorn.

Asymmetrical sleeved dresses. From Nicholas to DVF, more designers are hopping on board with mismatched-sleeves (something I'll definitely be adding to my warm-weather wardrobe).

If you follow me on Instagram, you will have seen the new way I'm organizing my dresser. I've been using the "KonMari" folding techniques and I am officially obsessed. Follow along with this video playlist to figure out how to fold your clothes.

A lot of people have very strong opinions on kitten heels. Personally, I can appreciate a lower-heeled shoe, and I've been gravitating towards low-heeled mules for spring.

Chriselle Lim's new clothing collection with JOA is filled with great pieces, but I'm mainly impressed with her creativity with versatile tops, like this one (which can be worn multiple different ways).

I've rediscovered my love for Benefit's classic lip and cheek stain "Benetint", which I've dug out of my makeup drawer and have been wearing daily to give my face a little extra color.

Chic This Week 053

What's CHIC this week (vol. 053)

Especially with the popularity of Roger Vivier's new collection, I've been seeing more and more chic square-toed shoes.

Beloved blogger Marianna Hewitt has finally released the first product in her new skincare line, Summer Fridays. The "Jetlag Mask" has been getting a lot of buzz for its plumping qualities - and is now available at Sephora.

I love the different ways silk scarves can be incorporated into a look (seen here as a bag embellishment).

My most recent obsession: FLYWHEEL. Their 45-minute classes are one of my favorite ways to start the day.

Going dotty? I've been adding a lot of polka dots into my shopping carts for Spring/Summer.
