I'm someone who loves to travel (and travel often), so airport style can sound like a bit of an oxymoron to me. If I'm going to be on a plane for hours, I'm thinking way more about comfort than I am about style. That being said, with all the long-distance travel I've been doing in the past year, I decided to invest in a few key pieces that are both cute and comfortable - and while this look is strictly "travel wear" (aka not something I'd choose to wear after I arrive at my destination), these pieces have definitely made my travel experience better.
THE TOP: I've always loved Wildfox jumpers, which are made from sherpa fleece and almost always include a cute graphic element. This millennial-pink "Don't Sleep Just Dream" jumper is lightweight, super-soft, and far prettier than one of my old sweatshirts.
THE LEGGINGS: If you haven't bought yourself a pair of Lululemon leggings, you're missing out. These are so flattering and so comfortable that I have to talk myself out of wearing these everywhere.
THE TOTE: Cuyana's signature leather totes come in a variety of colors and are the ideal size for traveling. It fits all my carry-on essentials (tech, books, snacks, etc) and I usually toss my crossbody bag in there as well. There are side-pockets for things you need handy (like your boarding pass & passport) and the leather is extremely durable. Plus, you can customize the tote with your initials (as I've done!) for a nice personal touch.
THE SHOES: I have a few different shoes that work well for travel (including slides, which are great for quick shoe-removal when you're going through security), but especially during the winter, these classic Nike Roshe trainers are my favorite.
