From all the time I've spent on set with makeup artists over the years, I've learned a lot about different brands/products/techniques. This has led me to play makeup artist for my friends before all sorts of occasions - the largest of which was a wedding I attended in November where I was asked to do the bride's makeup (Ahh! I actually did her mother's and sister's too).
On a daily basis, I think that keeping makeup minimal is always best, but I thought it would be fun to occasionally share some tutorials with you all. This first one is a very simple and quick and really brightens up your eyes. I used the Urban Decay Naked Palette (because it's freaking amazing) but you can use any similar colors you already have.
1) Sweep a light vanilla color over your lids and in the inner corners of your eyes (Naked Palette color: "Virgin")
2) Place a matte light brown color along your socket line (Naked Palette color: "Buck")
3) Line above & below your top lashes with a black eye pencil and slightly smudge the line with your finger to soften (I use Urban Decay's 24/7 Glide-On Pencil in "Zero")
4) Apply a black mascara (I use Maybelline's "Pumped Up Colossal") and you're done! Super easy way to really bring out your eyes. I'd love to know if you try it out!
